| ABSTRACT |
A multiple-element antenna array of a mobile terminal comprising a printed circuit board (PCB) of ground plane; a plurality of non-resonant type capacitive coupling elements at every chassis corner connected to a matching circuit on the top layer of the PCB; a plurality of differently oriented self-resonant printed inverted F-antennas operating around the chassis printed on the ground plane of the PCB; and a fixed feeding location for each antenna. It provides two unique antenna types which are located alternately on the mobile terminal chassis; and small antenna which allows more space available for other RF and circuit components. Further, the present antenna array is low cost, lightweight with low loss circuit design components.
