| ABSTRACT |
A method of detecting presence of suid¿s DNA in a biological sample comprises the steps of acquiring genomic DNA from the biological sample; subjecting the acquired genomic DNA to de-hybridization followed by re-hybridization in the presence of oliganucleotide probes within an aqueous mixture; providing gold nano-particles and a buffering agent into mixture; and detecting color change in the aqueous mixture; whereby presence of suid¿s DNA in the biological sample changes the color of the aqueous mixture upon provision of the gold nano-particles and/or buffering reagent; wherein the re-hybridization temperature is 54°C to 58°C and the oligonucleotide probes contains nucleic acid sequence of 155¿CTACGGTCATCACAAATCTACTATCAG3¿.
