ABSTRACT |
Processing cost is one of the major concers in enzyme production. Locally available raw materials based approach for production of enzyme was adopted to produce an economically viable enzyme. In this work, a newly and locally isolated strain, Aspergillus terrues UniMAP AA-1 was used to produce glucose oxidase enzyme by using byproducts of local industry. Molasses (byproducts from industries) urea are utilized as inexpensived and economic carbon and nitrogen source alternative to synthetic medium for the production of economic glucose oxidase enzymes. Besides, these materials are locally available and economically competitive. Therefore, this local based approach will be an alternative approach for improving glucose oxidase production efficiency.
