Soil is one of the most frequent problems many kind of construction in the world and some part of Malaysia. The common approach to soft soil stabilization is by removing thesoft soil and replace it with more stronger materials. This high cost cost approach lead to the alternative way of dealing with soft soil which is by using chemical to stabilize the soft soil. Instead of using chemical product, fly ash is one of the alternatives enviromental friendly material that offer more economical approach for a wide range of soil stabilization applications. There is where the idea of research comes, to study on the effectiveness on fly ash application as a soil stabilizer by using geopolymerization method. In most sub grade applications, fly ash is used to stabilize a soft soil so that a stable working platform is provided for construction equipment.
