Traditional export-import management education often struggles with delivering compliance-heavy content through active and engaging pedagogical methods. To address this challenge, this paper presents The Gamified Trade Simulation Framework, a 4-phase structured pedagogical model designed to transform international trade education into an active, low-risk operational environment across a 14-week semester without requiring additional contact hours, preliminary onboarding, or external funding. The framework progresses through four distinct stages: System Setup & Prompt Engineering (Pre-semester): Establishes the technical baseline by configuring system roles, compliance rule sets, scenario decision trees, and custom 2D spatial maps within the ZEP Quiz platform alongside generative AI prompt layout engineering. Formative Gamification Loop (Weeks 3 & 5): Incorporates 15-minute avatar-driven spatial quizzes via ZEP Quiz to reinforce foundational concepts such as export-import management introductions and methods of financing exporters. Capstone Operational Trade Simulation (Week 14): Evaluates trade agility through a two-part capstone involving a real-time Gemini AI Trade Bottleneck Simulation (managing supply chain delays and customs holds) and a ZEP Quiz Metaverse Team Battle for comprehensive syllabus review. Mixed-Methods Pedagogical Evaluation: Measures student outcomes through qualitative reflections and 5-point Likert scale surveys (N=198) focusing on active participation, concept retention, learner autonomy, and collaborative problem-solving. This framework provides an innovative, zero-cost, enterprise-grade simulation model that bridges theoretical knowledge with practical operational decision-making in trade management education.
