SmartFidyah+ is an innovative digital platform designed to simplify and improve the management of fidyah obligations among Muslims in Malaysia. Existing approaches to fidyah calculation are often fragmented because fidyah rates vary across states, accumulated fidyah may involve complex calculations, and users must search separately for relevant information and official payment channels. SmartFidyah+ addresses these challenges by integrating calculation, education, and payment facilitation within a single mobile platform. Its key innovation is an intelligent multi-variable calculation system that considers state-specific fidyah rates, the number of missed fasting days, the year of missed fasting, accumulated delays, and updated rates issued by relevant Islamic authorities. The platform also incorporates a nationwide fidyah rate database, direct links to official payment portals, Islamic guidance on fidyah and qadaż fasting, and reminder notifications before Ramadan. SmartFidyah+ therefore transforms a traditionally manual and potentially confusing process into a more accessible, transparent, and user-friendly digital compliance system. Its proposed business model includes institutional licensing, service fees, partnerships, and future expansion into zakat, waqf, and Islamic financial planning services. Overall, SmartFidyah+ demonstrates the potential of integrating religious knowledge, financial technology, and digital governance to strengthen religious compliance, institutional collaboration, and community well-being.
