| ABSTRACT |
ZH-RainSim is a standalone desktop tool that generates future rainfall ensembles from Global Climate Models (GCMs). The software uses a Markov Chain occurrence model coupled with a Gamma distribution for intensity to downscale and simulate daily rainfall series effectively. A licence agreement protects the application. It may be used free of charge, with due acknowledgement to the model¿s developer, for academic research purposes. For use within a research project, a licence is required. The software cannot be used for any commercial purposes.
