| ABSTRACT |
The increasing number of accidents and health incidents such as heat stroke in the construction sector shows the need for more innovative safety solutions.
To address this challenge, this project proposes the development of a smart safety helmet powered by solar energy and integrated with Internet of Things
(IoT) technology for real-time monitoring. The project aims to solve safety issues such as heat stroke and the difficulty of tracking the location of workers
on construction sites. The system uses ESP32, LM35 temperature sensor and NEO-6M GPS module, with data sent to the Blynk application via Wi-Fi
connection. System development involves circuit simulation using Proteus, design in Fritzing, and programming via Arduino IDE. Tests were conducted in
indoor and outdoor environments to evaluate the system performance under various lighting conditions. Results show the system operates reliably and can
trigger alerts during high-temperature exposure. This solution offers a safer and more sustainable alternative for remote worker monitoring, reducing
dependence on heavy batteries and enabling real-time safety response. In conclusion, the system operated effectively and demonstrates potential for
further improvement and practical deployment in real-world construction site safety applications.
