The PC-CAP Model outlines a chain reaction showing how an individual's personality ultimately drives their workplace performance. An employee's personality traits first shape how they handle interpersonal disagreements; poorly managed conflicts then foster organizational cynicism marked by distrust and frustration toward the company. Over time, this cynicism erodes employee morale, commitment, and job satisfaction, which ultimately leads to reduced productivity, lower work quality, and weaker overall performance.
