PRODUCT NAME Influence Of Mineral Additions On Recycled Aggregate Concrete
ABSTRACT Continuous of industrial development poses serious problems of construction and demolition waste disposal. Whereas shortage of natural aggregate for production of new concrete in critical stage. The variability observed in the composition of construction and demolition (C&D) waste is a problem that inhibits the use of recycled aggregates in concrete production. To contribute in this field, a research was carried out with substitution percentage of natural aggregates by recycled aggregates. This study was investigating the potential of using recycled aggregate and its effect on the strength, workability and durability of concrete. However, the use of higher percentage of recycled aggregate would decrease the compression strength of the concrete blocks due to the lack of binder material. As a solution, additional of mineral in mix design would enhance the concrete strength. Consequently, it improves the strength of concrete and solves the demolition waste deposit problem to our environment.
