| ABSTRACT |
The intelligent system for pathological infant cry recognition is a valueable tool developed mainly for the newborn babies to identify their physiological status after born. This proposed system able to detect some of the common abnormalities of newborn babies namely asphyxia(inability of the baby to breath well within one minute after delivery, hypoacoustic (improper hearing capacity) and extra via their cry signals. This system is fully automatic, does not require any manual setting and also can be handled by non experts. Moreover this system is non-invasive and do not elicit any non pleasan feelings to infants during the operating time
