Nowadays, real time and in-situ measurement of natural parameter is becoming an unavoidable trend. To catch-up with the fast changing and very demanding trend, also, as gait analysis is about measurement of uninterrupted real parameters, it is very important that the measurement is performed in the real environment. In fact, the effect of daily activities on our health is clearly understood. This means the measurement system should be very mobile, untethered, can be placed in the shoe sole and also can measure effectively in targeted environment. This invention develops i-SMART SHoE that is very portable and suitable for real world data collection. Current bulky and laboratory environment based instruments are not suitable for measurement in the natural environment such as the outdoors. The integration of MEMS technologies enables the realization and capability of i-SMART SHoE for real time and in-situ application. The custom Gait Analysis Software used for collecting and analyzing the output measurement parameter. The i-SMART SHoE can be used in monitoring sports performance, foot based rehabilitation and also for fall prevention among the elderly but not limit. It is obvious that the need for i-SMART SHoE is surging rapidly due to the changing demographics of the world population and our modern lifestyles.
