Industrial lignin is by product from other biomass base industries. Prevention, reduction and elimination as far as possible of environmental contamination stand out as a major issue to produce product based on lignin. The consumers demand for product complying with consumers¿ health, safety and environmental requirement is steadily increasing.
Lignin is a natural phenolic polymer. It is one of the most abundant natural polymer, composing up to one-third of the material found in plant cell wall. Lignin coconut shell is derived from abundant and renewable resources agricultural crops. Lignin is available in large amounts and qualities that have made them increasingly important in many industry applications. Lignin is a known antioxidant to stabilize the material against photo and thermo-oxidation. Lignin is hindered polymer which can exert antioxidant properties. The addition of lignin also to protect the polymer against mechano-oxidation during the processing operation and to provide the required shelf-life.
