| ABSTRACT |
Rice husk is currently under-utilized and it might be a good alternative as an enzyme support, since enzyme in free state has a few limitation. The application of rice husk activated carbon as a support for enzyme immobilization was investigated. Through activation method employed, high surface area was obtained before further being funtionalized with amine group. The functionalized will enhance the enzyme capability as well as reduce the leaching problem during the immbilization. After that, the enzyme was immobilized through covalent bonding method.
