PRODUCT NAME Continous Resource Allocation Framework With Numbered Fragments For The Downlink Subframe Of Mobile WiMAX (802.16e)
ABSTRACT The burst allocation algorithm is one of mobile WiMAX system. Resource wastage caust by the burst allocation algorithm in the form of unused and allocated slots per frame affects the base station efficiency. A sequential Burst Allocation (SBA) algorithm is proposed to overcome frame wastage. The new SBA algorithm based on sequential allocation of data slots in the form of vertical columns using a new technique of organizing burst fragmentaton when forced to be used to eliminate the unallocated slots between data burst and reduce the unused slot within a burst to be one slot per burst at the worst case. The SBA algorithm is able to fragment and allocate data burst continpusly from one frame to the next frame which has a significant impact on reducing the resource wastage. On the other hand, the SBA algorithm provides sequence number for the fragments that enables the recipients to reassamble their fragments in correct order. The new algorithm modifies the overhead contents that assigned to the additional fragments with a reduction of the unnecessary repeated fields.
