PRODUCT NAME HYPO-G : A New Generation Of Natural Rubber Latex Gloves, Condoms and Catheters Made From Hevea (Rubber Tree) Latex, Manihot Esculenta (Tapioca Tree) Latex and Arachis Hypogaea (Groundnut)
ABSTRACT The present invention provides a new generation of natural rubber latex gloves, catheters and condoms made from mixing together Hevea (Rubber Tree) Latex, Manihot Esculenta (Tapioca Tree) Latex and Arachis Hypogaea (Groundnut). The present application allows production of the gloves using existing glove production line method which is coagulant dipping. Coagulant dipping method is simple and easy process to produce many type of natural rubber latex gloves. The most important and novel about this innovation is the new materials (via Tapioca latex and groundnut) have been used together with the Hevea natural rubber latex to product this new glove. The existing/commercialized natural rubber latex glove is produced from mixing together the Hevea latex with common filler such as calcium carbonate, silica, corn starch, soy starch, titanium oxide, etc. The Tapioca latex used has been proved as novelty and innovative before (Patent Pending 2013000350; Title: Novel Natural Latex from Manihot Esculenta (Tapioca)). The Tapioca is partially replace the Hevea latex up to 20 phr of total latex compound. The Groundnut is used as a filler and emulsifier in this latex system. The resulting glove can offers less protein allergy causes by Hevea latex (by partially replacement Hevea latex with Tapioca latex), biodegradable latex glove (the use of tapioca latex and groundnut allows biodegradation to the glove), as well as the finest quality of the glove. The finest quality can offers outstanding strength, wear and dexterity and a glove that is cooler, more durable, better fitting, more sensitive and less susceptible to tearing or developing holes comparable with other natural rubber gloves. The total cost to produce the glove is reduced since it use Tapioca latex and groundnut that are extremely cheaper than Hevea natural rubber.
