This new adhesive is made from recycled polystyrene waste. The idea is to reduce the quantity of wasted polystyrene in Malaysia. This adhesive is produced by breaking the polystyrene molecules to liquid form by adding a chemical. This new adhesive can be used toward wood material joining. According to test results, strength of wood joined by this adhesive is comparable with those joined by adhesive available in the market.
