| ABSTRACT |
This product presents the used of in-house developed sensor array system to classify aromatic rice varieties based on the odour sample. The sensor array system include MIP sensor is used forclassifiying theodour volatile compounds.When the volatile compounds being sensed by sensors it will change the conductance and convert it into electrical signal. The signals are preprocessed by the instrument signal conditioning circuit. The recorded data were sent to a Personal Computer (PC) through wireless communication. The PC is connected to the internet for a web-based data analysis system. The preprocessed sensors responsesacquired data will be classify using multivariate statistical analysis and bioligical inspired system data processing techniquesto classify the unknown samples. The results shows that the instrument was able of classify aromatic rice varieties with good success rate.
