ABSTRACT |
The light weighted plate was being invented by producing it using recycled high density polyethylene as the main material. This recycled high density polyethylene had been chosen because of this thermoplastic is easier to get due to their large volume of existence and lower in cost. The light weighted plate is having high tensile strength, high impact strength, light weight, and biodegradable product. Beside recycle high density polyethylene, treated taro filler with glycosilic acid was added as some kind of additives. The proportion of the filler helped to reduce the use of petroleum based thermoplastic as main matrix which is non-renewable. This filler was treated with glycolic acid to remove the toxicity while providing bridge or connection point between matrix and fillers thus improve the strength of the product.
