The present invention relates to an aerated up-flow constructed wetland. The up-flow constracted wetland comprises of a reactor (10) and wherein the reactor furthet contains a gravel bed. The reactor (10) which is positioned at the bottom portion and wherein the said reactor (10) is designed and configured as an anaerobic reactor condition for decolorization and denitrification. At the upper layer of the reactor (10) is designed in an aerobic condition for biodegradation of organic pollutants, nitrification and mineralization of aromatic amines.
