A sensor array system for detection of diseases in farm animals and birds by maladour monitoring abd detection is provided. The system includes a plurality of sensors or sensor array to record a plurality of parameters and concentration data of malodour compounds in air; a signal-conditioning module to pre-process the parameters and concentration data obtained from the sensor array; and a microcontroller that receives the pre-processed parameters and concentration data from the signal-conditioning module for identifying and classifying maladour, and consequently detecting disease or infection.
