ABSTRACT |
1) A system for use in reducing the amplitude of external vibration comprising: i) an active vibration controller (AVC) equipped with piezoelectric actuator patch; ii) a laser displacement sensor; iii) a flexible beam structure; iv) a piezoelectric actuator patch for providing unwanted vibration to the flexible beam. 2. A method for use in reducing the attitude of external vibration comprising the steps of: i) providing a flexible beam structure to be imposed with primary vibration; ii) providing a laser displacement sensor to pick up signals generated from the flexible beam structure; iii) acquiring the signals for further processing; iv) producing control signals based on the acquired signals; v) feeding said control signals to a piezoelectric actuator which is provided on the flexible beam structure; vi) cancelling the primary vibration with a secondary vibration provided based on the control signals produced.
