PRODUCT NAME Autonomous Outdoor Mobile Robot For Agriculture (AUTO-MRA)
ABSTRACT The development of a reliable and affordable autonomous mobile robot application has always been a goal for mobile robot researchers. Automated disease detection for environmental and agriculture application have been investigated intensively by research groups. This research proposed an early prediction of palm oil diseases using intelligent mobile robot that navigate based on grid point for data collection. An early detection of `Basal Stem Rot¿ (BSR) disease in oil palm trunk is using intelligent autonomous robot with a variety of sensors. The movements of the robot in the plantation were driven by electrical motors, and controlled by an on-board microcontroller. The position of an oil palm tree grid point will be determined by using Global Positioning System (GPS). The robot will move to a point near the tree using waypoint navigation system. The robot navigation system used ultrasonic sensors for the obstacle avoidance based on an intelligent algorithm. The data were measured and collected using sensors module called E-Hound. The system also measures the temperature and humidity of the environment
